La’Shunda Thomas is a native of Lansing, MI. Who is an accomplished author, mentor, community leader, political activist, wife, and mother. While balancing these many hats Mrs. Thomas has enjoyed fulfilling two of the most important roles she has carried that of a supportive wife and loving mother of five girls, who are taught to respectfully honor God and their parents.

La’Shunda is currently attending Central Michigan University to receive a BS in Public Administration, with the emphasis in Community Development. After growing up with plenty of obstacles in her life she learned that children have a lot to deal with to include  child abuse, teenage pregnancy, drugs, and peer pressure. Mrs. Thomas knew all too well what these things could bring after having her first child at 17.

She later rededicated her life to Christ and was inspired to mentor youth through her local church-Mt. Zion All Nations Bible Church, under the Pastoral care of Pastor H. Levi McClendon III. It was during this time Central Michigan Heritage Enterprise (CMHE) was born. This insight brought Thomas to embark on a journey to begin an organization called Central Michigan Heritage Enterprises. The purpose of the organization was to mentor, educate, and empower area youth to embrace their God given purpose.

Mrs. Thomas is committed to her walk with Christ, her family, and community to touch and encourage individuals to reach their highest potential by, changing their mindset.
